This Privacy Policy explains how Enclave Dev LLC (“Enclave Dev,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile applications and related services (collectively, the “Apps”), including but not limited to the Checklist app (“Checklist”).

By using our Apps or visiting our website at https://www.enclavedev.com, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use our Apps or services.

2. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Mobile apps developed and published by Enclave Dev LLC (including Checklist), and

  • Our website at https://www.enclavedev.com and related legal pages (such as /legal, /legal/terms, /legal/privacy).

This Policy does not apply to:

  • Third-party websites or services that we do not control

  • Platform providers such as Apple or Google and their own data collection practices

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third parties you interact with.

3. Information we collect

The specific information we collect depends on which app or service you use and how you use it. In general, we may collect:

3.1 Information you provide directly

  • Content you create in our Apps (for example: lists, notes, checklists, sections, steps, history, or other data you enter)

  • Information you send to us if you contact support (for example: your name, email address, and the content of your message)

3.2 Information collected automatically

Depending on your device settings and the App, we may collect certain technical and usage information, such as:

  • Device information (device model, operating system version, language, app version)

  • Basic usage data (which screens or features are used, frequency of use)

  • Diagnostic data (crash reports, performance metrics)

This data is typically aggregated or anonymized and used to improve stability and performance.

3.3 Information from platform providers

When you download and use our Apps through platforms such as the Apple App Store, the platform may provide us limited information, such as:

  • The country/region of your account

  • Whether an app was installed, updated, or uninstalled

  • Aggregate reports about purchases or subscriptions (without exposing your full payment details to us)

Your full payment information (such as credit card numbers) is handled by the platform provider, not Enclave Dev LLC.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect for purposes such as:

  • Providing the core functionality of our Apps

  • Maintaining and improving the performance, stability, and security of our Apps

  • Understanding how our Apps are used so we can make better product decisions

  • Communicating with you if you reach out to us (for support, feedback, or questions)

  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Use

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Legal bases (for users in certain regions)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions that require a legal basis for processing personal data, we process your information based on one or more of the following:

  • To perform a contract with you (for example, to provide the App you requested)

  • Our legitimate interests (for example, improving our Apps, preventing abuse, securing our systems)

  • Your consent (for example, if you opt in to certain optional features or analytics where required)

  • Compliance with legal obligations

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time through your device or app settings (where applicable) or by contacting us.

6. How we store and protect information

6.1 On-device storage

Many of our Apps are designed so that your content is stored primarily on your device, including data such as:

  • Lists, checklists, steps, and notes

  • History or log information associated with your use of the App

If your device is configured to use backup or sync services (such as iCloud backup), your data may also be stored according to your device and account settings. These backups are controlled by you and the platform provider, not by Enclave Dev LLC.

6.2 Server or cloud storage (if used)

If an App or future feature uses server or cloud storage, we will only store the minimum information needed for that feature and will describe that usage in the relevant app section of this Policy or in updated documentation.

6.3 Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we control. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We encourage you to:

  • Use a strong passcode or biometric lock on your device

  • Keep your operating system and apps up to date

  • Protect your device from unauthorized access

7. Sharing of information

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: With trusted third-party service providers who help us with analytics, crash reporting, or similar functions. These providers are only allowed to use the information to perform services on our behalf.

  • Legal reasons: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Enclave Dev LLC, our users, or others.

  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

8. Third-party services and links

Our Apps and website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services (such as platform analytics, crash reporting tools, or support tools). These third parties may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Children’s privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] so we can take appropriate action, such as deleting the information.

If you are a parent or guardian and allow your child to use our Apps, it is your responsibility to supervise their use.

10. Data retention

How long we retain information depends on the type of information and the purpose for which it is used.

  • Data stored on your device is typically retained until you delete it, reset the App, or uninstall the App.

  • Diagnostic and analytics data collected through third-party services is retained in accordance with those providers’ retention policies.

  • If you contact us directly (for example, via email), we may retain your communication for a reasonable period to handle your request and maintain appropriate records.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as:

  • The right to access information we hold about you

  • The right to request correction or deletion of your information

  • The right to object to or restrict certain types of processing

  • The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Because many of our Apps store data primarily on your device, you often control your data directly through your device and app settings. For example:

  • You can delete app data through your device settings (where supported).

  • You can uninstall the App to remove data stored on your device (subject to backups controlled by you or your platform provider).

• You can adjust analytics and diagnostic data collection in your device’s privacy settings (for example, turning off certain sharing options with Apple).

If you contact us at [email protected], we will do our best to help you exercise applicable rights, subject to verification and legal limitations.

12. Additional information for specific Apps

The following sections describe app-specific privacy details for particular Enclave Dev apps. These sections supplement (and do not replace) the general information in this Policy.

12.1 Checklist

What Checklist does

Checklist is a productivity app that helps you turn recurring tasks into reusable checklists. You can create checklists, group them into sections, define steps, and track the history of “runs” when you complete a checklist or section.

Data stored by Checklist

Checklist is primarily designed to store your data locally on your device. This can include:

  • Checklist titles and notes

  • Sections and steps, including any text you enter

  • Run history, such as which checklist or section you ran and when

We do not receive this content on our own servers unless a future feature explicitly requires it and is clearly described.

If your device uses iCloud backup or similar services, your Checklist data may be included in those backups according to your device settings. Enclave Dev LLC does not control those backup services.

Analytics and diagnostics

Checklist may use anonymous or aggregated analytics and crash reporting tools to help us understand how the app performs and to fix bugs. This may include:

  • App version and basic device information (model, OS version)

  • General usage patterns (for example, which screens are used most often)

  • Crash logs and performance metrics

We use this information to improve Checklist’s stability and user experience, not to build personal profiles.

In-app purchases and subscriptions

If Checklist offers in-app purchases or subscriptions (for example, “Checklist Pro” or similar):

  • Payment processing and subscription management are handled by Apple through your Apple ID account.

  • We receive limited information from Apple about purchases (such as confirmation that a purchase occurred), but not your full payment details.

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

For more information about billing and refunds, please refer to Apple’s policies.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice within the Apps or on our website. Your continued use of our Apps after any changes means you accept the updated Policy.
